Where we are

The Ariege is a department in the South West of France, not very well known to many ... but offering a wide range of opportunities to visitors through out the year. The department can roughly be split in two The Haute Ariege with the mountains and valleys, andThe Basse Ariege with a more rolling rural landscape.

We are In the Basse Ariege south of Toulouse and North of the Department capital Foix. The maps will show where we are but perhaps the best way of finding us is to put Péchine, 09130 Artigat, France into google maps and that will take you straight to us!

The D919is the main road down the Valley from Toulouse to Foix and is at the bottom of our hill. The D27a Signed St Martin D'Oydes between Le Fossat and Artigat is our road, follow this up the hill,turn left at the top of the hill (about 3 km)...between the 2 white bollards by the wooden chalet there is a small sign, if you reach the church you have gone too far! We are the 4th house on the left after the turn.

Directions for Pechine from Blagnac Airport - Toulouse

On leaving the airport follow green signs for Toulouse

Then follow Blue signs A62/A61/Bordeaux/Montpellier/Toulouse-Centre and Merge onto A624.

Take the exit onto A620/E09 toward A61/Montpellier/Foix-Tarbes

Take the exit onto A64/E09 toward Foix/Tarbes/Lourdes/Saint-Sébastien

Continue to follow A64 This is a Peage/toll road. The unmanned kiosks need 1.70 euros in cash or notes ( or cards). Change is given.

Continue for about 30km

Take Exit 28 toward Capens/Marquefave/Saint-Sulpice and follow signs for St Sulpice ( D622)

In St Sulpice at T junction Turn right on to D4 signed Lezat sur Leze

Continue onto D919

Go through Lezat and Le Fossat

After le Fossat take left turn signed St Martin D’Oydes onto D27a

Continue for approx. 3km. At top of hill turn left between the 2 white bollards (by the wooden chalet/house). Pechine is less than a 1 km on left. If you reach the church you missed the turn!

Some Sat navs will tell you to turn left at the main junction in Le fossat which is fine, but then the small road Immediately right after the bridge is missed! There is a big yellow sign at the turn follow this past the cemetery , sharp left up the hill and at the top of the hill you will come to Mondounet, a yellow house with a wooden pergola (right on the road) ..we are the next house on the right (1km). The Gite entrance is first, through the gates and the B&B entrance opposite the small barn
